4. Products and orders
4.1 Product information
We do our best to describe products accurately. Specifications, photos, and other content are for informational purposes. Minor variations in finish, color, or dimensions within stated tolerances are normal and not defects.
4.2 Pricing
All prices are in U.S. dollars and exclude shipping and applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. We may change prices at any time. Posted prices apply to orders placed before a price change.
4.3 Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We accept your order when we send a confirmation email or ship the product, whichever comes first. We may refuse or cancel any order, including for:
- Pricing or product description errors
- Suspected fraud or unauthorized use of payment
- Inability to verify shipping address or identity
- Quantities that suggest reseller activity, when our terms restrict it
- Stock limitations
If we cancel an order after charging you, we will refund the charge in full.
4.4 Pricing and typographical errors
If a product is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to a typographical error or system error, we may cancel or correct the order, even after confirmation. If we cancel, we will refund any amount charged.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe through Stripe's hosted checkout. By placing an order, you authorize us, through Stripe, to charge your payment method for the order total including shipping and taxes. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate payment information.
We do not see, receive, or store your full card number, CVC, or expiration date. Stripe's terms and privacy policy govern your use of Stripe's checkout.
6. Shipping
We ship within the United States only. Shipping costs and estimated delivery times are shown at checkout. Title and risk of loss pass to you when the carrier accepts the package from us. If a package is damaged or lost in transit, see Section 7.
7. Returns and refunds
7.1 Standard returns
You may return an unused, uninstalled kit within 30 days of delivery for a refund, subject to the conditions below.
- The kit must not have been installed in a fork
- The kit must be unopened, with packaging intact
- You pay return shipping
- We recommend a tracked, insured method. Returns lost in transit are your responsibility.
To start a return, email support@tintic.works with your order number. We will provide return instructions. Once we receive the kit and verify the condition, we will refund the original payment method. Stripe typically processes refunds in about five business days.
7.2 Defects and shipping damage
If your kit arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, contact support@tintic.works within 30 days of delivery. We will cover return shipping and replace the kit at our cost, or refund you, at our option.
7.3 What is not eligible
- Kits that have been installed in a fork
- Kits returned outside the 30-day window
- Kits returned without packaging or in damaged packaging caused after delivery
- Custom or special-order configurations, unless defective
8. Warranty
8.1 What is covered
Tintic Works warrants its products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal riding conditions, as follows:
- Lifetime of the part. Cone, piston, tap, and any other component machined by Tintic Works.
- Two years from purchase. Springs.
- Technical support. We provide technical support for as long as the kit is in service.
This warranty transfers with the bike to subsequent owners. No paperwork is required.
8.2 What is not covered
- Damage from improper installation or installation not following Tintic Works' install guide
- Damage from accidents, crashes, abuse, or neglect
- Damage from corrosion or contamination introduced after delivery
- Damage to the cone-valve caused by failure of components not supplied by Tintic Works
- Cosmetic wear, including scratches, finish discoloration, and patina from normal use
- Consequential damage to other components of the fork, motorcycle, or rider's equipment
8.3 Modifications
Any modification to a Tintic Works product, performed by anyone other than Tintic Works, voids the warranty on the modified part and on any related parts whose function depends on it.
Modifications include, but are not limited to:
- Altering the cone geometry (grinding, machining, polishing, or re-cutting the cone surface)
- Re-shimming the cone valve assembly in a configuration not specified in Tintic Works' install guide
- Substituting non-Tintic components for any part of the kit
- Heat treating, coating, plating, or applying surface treatments to any machined part
- Drilling, cutting, or otherwise physically altering any machined part
- Disassembling and reassembling the kit other than as part of a fork installation by a qualified suspension tuner
Tuning is not modification. Adjusting float, swapping between Tintic-supplied springs (such as 25Nm or 35Nm), and selecting from Tintic-supplied cone options are normal tuning and do not affect the warranty. If you are unsure whether a planned change qualifies as tuning or modification, contact support@tintic.works before proceeding.
8.4 Remedy
If a covered defect occurs, contact support@tintic.works with your order details (or the original purchase information, if you bought the bike used) and a description of the issue. At our option, we will repair the part, replace it, or refund the original purchase price. Repair or replacement is your sole and exclusive remedy.
8.5 Limits of warranty
This warranty is the only warranty Tintic Works makes. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so this exclusion may not apply to you. Any implied warranty that cannot be disclaimed is limited to the duration of the express warranty above.
9. Installation
Tintic Works cone valves are precision suspension components intended for installation by a qualified suspension tuner. Installation by an unqualified person, or installation that does not follow Tintic Works' install guide, may damage your fork.
Damage caused by improper installation is not covered under warranty. By purchasing the product, you acknowledge that improper installation may damage your fork or related components, and that such damage is your responsibility.
We strongly recommend professional installation by an experienced suspension tuner.
10. Riding is dangerous. Use at your own risk.
Off-road and on-road motorcycle riding is inherently dangerous and can result in serious injury or death. Suspension components, even when functioning correctly, do not prevent crashes or injury. By purchasing and using a Tintic Works product, you acknowledge and accept the risks of motorcycle riding, including risk of injury, death, and property damage.
You are responsible for:
- Riding within your skill level
- Using appropriate protective equipment
- Maintaining your motorcycle in safe operating condition
- Following all applicable laws and the rules of any riding location
- Inspecting your suspension after installation and before each ride
Tintic Works is not responsible for injury, death, or damage that results from riding, regardless of whether a Tintic Works product is installed on the motorcycle.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tintic Works, its owners, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, loss of use, or damage to other property, arising from or related to the site, the products, or these Terms, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total cumulative liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the site, the products, or these Terms is limited to the amount you paid Tintic Works for the product giving rise to the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars ($100), whichever is greater.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tintic Works, its owners, employees, and affiliates from any claim, loss, damage, liability, or expense (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the products, your improper installation of the products, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
13. Intellectual property
The site, including its design, text, graphics, logos, photos, and product designs, is owned by Shults Moto LLC or our licensors and is protected by U.S. and international intellectual property law. The names “Tintic Works” and “Tintic” are trademarks of Shults Moto LLC. Nothing on the site grants you a license to use any trademark, logo, or copyrighted material without our written permission.
You retain ownership of any reviews, photos, or other content you submit to us. By submitting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and display the content for our marketing, customer support, and product improvement.
14. Third-party links and embedded content
The site may include links to third-party sites and embedded content from services like YouTube and Instagram. We do not control those sites or services and are not responsible for their content, practices, or privacy policies. Your use of them is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
15. Electronic communications
By using the site or placing an order, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including order confirmations, shipping notifications, and service messages. Marketing emails require separate opt-in and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in those emails.
16. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, fire, flood, severe weather, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, carrier delays, war, terrorism, civil unrest, government action, pandemic, or utility failures.
17. Governing law and disputes
17.1 Governing law
These Terms, and any dispute arising from or related to them, the site, or our products, are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
17.2 Venue
Any dispute that is not resolved informally must be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah County, Utah. You and Tintic Works consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.
17.3 Informal resolution first
Before filing a lawsuit, you agree to first contact us at support@tintic.works with a description of your claim and to give us 30 days to attempt to resolve it informally. We will do the same.
17.4 Statute of limitations
Any claim arising from or related to these Terms, the site, or our products must be filed within one year after the claim arose, or it is permanently barred, unless applicable law requires a longer period.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be communicated through the site or by email if you have given us your address. Your continued use of the site or purchase of products after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
19. General
19.1 Entire agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any order confirmation, are the entire agreement between you and Tintic Works regarding the site and our products, and replace any prior agreements on the same subject.
19.2 Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect. The unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to be enforceable, preserving its intent.
19.3 No waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
19.4 Assignment
You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
19.5 No third-party beneficiaries
These Terms do not create rights for anyone other than you and Tintic Works.
19.6 Headings
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
