Upgrading your fork.

How cone valves work, and the upgrade options for each fork we make a kit for: what each option changes, which bikes have the fork, and where a Tintic cone valve fits.

Start here

How cone valves work

What a cone valve replaces in your fork, how it compares with a revalve, and how it compares with WP's own cone-valve forks and cartridge kits.

Adjusting your fork for different terrain

What your fork's clickers can and can't change, why your shock has a high-speed compression adjuster and your fork doesn't, and how riders set one bike up for different terrain.

By fork

WP Xplor (open cartridge)

The coil-spring enduro fork on KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas and Sherco bikes before the 2024 closed-cartridge switch.

WP closed cartridge (2024+)

The Xplor CC and closed-cartridge Xact on 2024 and newer KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas off-road bikes. One kit fits both.

WP Xact air

The air-spring fork on KTM SX, Husqvarna TC/FC and GasGas MC bikes. One valve does the whole bike.

KYB SSS (24mm and 25mm piston)

Yamaha YZ, WR and YZ-FX, the Beta RR Race Edition and the Stark Varg, and which piston your bike has.

Showa cartridge

Honda CRF, Kawasaki KX, Suzuki RM-Z450 and Ducati Desmo450 MX.
